Vulnerability Time: yikes, can’t believe I’m sharing these pictures.

Picture on the top was the start of Journey #1, July 2015 until Sept  2016, result- 40 lbs lost (unfortunately no after picture-but weight was recorded in MyFitnessPal). Used the Shaklee 180 Healthy Weight Program, consistent exercise 2-3 times a week, experimented with more healthy recipes, choices, and food combinations.

From Sept 2016 till Dec 2018 I had been on maintenance. During this hiatus something very profound occurred. Except for the 5 lbs up and down, this is the first time that the bulk of the weight stayed off.  Really, THE FIRST TIME. Yoyo dieting experiences I surely know. Here are a few examples over many years:
• NutriSystem twice (I liked the desserts so much that I ate 4 or 5 of them in one sitting); chose this diet for the convenience; never lost more than 10 lbs. I was not changing my habits.
• Weight Watchers twice. Learned to be more conscious of portion size. Some good learning. On one excursion I lost 30 lbs in 1 year but gained it all back plus. Next excursion only lost about 10 lbs.

When I put the July 2015 and Jan 2019 pics together, I suddenly saw what I had already accomplished, but didn’t fully realize or pat myself on the back. I am no longer the person seen in the 2015 Pic. So what’s next? Having been spurred by a 7 Day Healthy Cleanse Nov 2018 (lost 8 lbs); healthy eating habits becoming even more ingrained, fierce cravings of the past subsiding still more, energy increasing,
